Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Creative Platz LLC · Digital Faithworks · Version 1 · Effective November 1, 2026

1. About these Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Creative Platz LLC, doing business as Digital Faithworks (doing business as Digital Faithworks) ("we," "us," or "our"). They apply to the Digital Faithworks mobile app, our website at digitalfaithworks.com and any related services (together, the “Service”).

There are two kinds of people who use the Service, and some parts of these Terms apply to one kind only:

Churches and Admins. A “Church” is a religious organization that subscribes to the Service. An “Admin” is a person who creates or manages a Church’s account, including billing.

Members. A “Member” is a person who creates an account in the app and joins a Church.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at digitalfaithworks.com/privacy-policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. Who can use the service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a Church, you confirm that you have the authority to do so, and “you” includes that Church.

3. Accounts

Member accounts. Members create their own account in the app using their own email address. Your account belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.

Joining an Church. To use the Service, a Member must choose a Church and be accepted by that Church’s Admin. The Church must have an active subscription. A Member account can belong to only one Church at a time.

4. Organizations and Admins

Admins manage the Church’s account on our website. Admins can accept or remove Members, assign roles, and see Members’ names, roles, and join dates. Admins can also see Members’ email addresses, phone number and physical adresses.

The Church is responsible for its Admins and Members, for the Church Content in its account, and for making sure its use of the Service follows these Terms and the law.

Members should know that the Church, not Digital Faithworks, decides who may join and what they may do within the Church’s account.

5. Subscriptions and fees

Who pays. The Church pays for the Service. Admins set up and manage payment on our website. Members don’t pay anything and can’t purchase subscriptions in the app.

Plans and renewal. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on our website at the time of purchase. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase takes effect.

Payments and taxes. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated here. Fees don’t include taxes, which the Church is responsible for where applicable.

Failed payment. If a payment fails, we will try to notify the Admin. If the subscription stays unpaid after 30 days, the Church may become inactive as described in Section 9.

6. Content and data ownership

There are two kinds of content in the Service:

Personal Content. Content you create for yourself and not for a Church, such as your own prayer requests.

Church Content. Content that Admins create for a Church, such as announcements, events or volunteer opportunities. Members and Admins can both create Personal Content, but only Admins can create Church Content.

Church Data. Means the Church Content that Admins create (such as announcements, images, attachments, and comments), plus the Church’s member list, roles, and settings. It does not include Personal Content.

The Church owns it. As between the Church and us, the Church owns its Church Data. Admins create Church Content on the Church’s behalf, and the Church controls how it is used, exported, and deleted. It stays in the Church’s account even after the Admin who created it leaves or deletes their account.

Personal Content is yours. Personal Content belongs to you. You choose who can see it: Public means everyone in your Church can see it, and Private means only you and your Church’s Admins can see it. Because Admins can see Private content, it is not secret from your Church. Prayer requests can include sensitive details about you or other people, so please share only what you are comfortable with. Personal Content is not included in an Church’s export. You can delete it at any time, and Church admins have the authorization to delete at any time. When you delete your account we delete all of it completely (Section 13).

Church Content is anonymized, not deleted, when an Admin deletes their account. The Church Content they created stays with the Church, but we remove their name and link it only to a “Deleted account” label, so it can no longer be connected to that person. We don’t edit the text of the content itself, so anything personal written inside it will remain.

our account information is separate. Your login credentials and personal account settings belong to your account, not the Church, and are not part of the Church Data that Admins can export.

Our license. You and the Church give us permission to host, store, process, display, and back up Personal Content and Church Data only as needed to run and improve the Service, provide support, and meet legal obligations.

Your responsibility. You confirm you have the right to post the content you upload, and that it doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights.

6A. Children’s profiles and event check-in

Members and Admins can add profiles for their children (“Child Profiles”) so they can register them for events and daycare and have them checked in and out. Children do not create or use accounts themselves.

What a Child Profile contains. A Child Profile can include the child’s name, birth date, photo, emergency contacts, and other details you choose to add, such as gender and allegies

Your responsibility. You may add a Child Profile only for a child you are the parent or legal guardian of, or are otherwise authorized to act for. You confirm that the information is accurate, that you have the right to share it, and that you have permission from any emergency contact you add.

Who can see it. Admins of your Church can see Child Profiles, including emergency contacts and check-in records, so they can run registration and check-in. Other Members cannot see them.

Check-in and check-out. Admins can check children in and out of events. Each check-in and check-out is recorded with the date and time, behavior reports, notes and in the case an emergency pick up takes place, the time and admin who allowed the pick up.

Deleting. You can delete any Child Profile at any time, and when you do we delete all of that child’s information completely. When you delete your account, we delete all of your Child Profiles and their information completely (Section 13). Child Profiles are not included in an Church’s export.

The Church’s responsibility. The Church decides how it runs registration and check-in, and is responsible for how its Admins handle Child Profiles and for any safety policies, background checks, or legal requirements that apply to its programs. We provide the tools only. We don’t supervise children or events.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or post unlawful, harmful, harassing, or deceptive content;

• upload malware or try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts.

• scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or resell the Service, except as the law allows.

• impersonate another person or misrepresent your Church.

• use the Service in a way that breaches another person’s privacy or intellectual property.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and how to exercise your rights. It forms part of these Terms. In short: Admins can see Members’ names, roles, and join dates, Personal Content is visible according to its creator’s Public or Private setting (Admins can see both), and Church Data can be exported by Admins as described below.

9. Cancelling a subscription

Who can cancel. Only a Chuech’s owner or authorized billing Admin can cancel. Cancellation is done on our website or by contacting team@digitalfaithworks.com.

When access ends. If the Church cancels, the subscription stays active until the end of the current paid period. After that, the Church becomes “inactive.” We will tell Admins the exact date before it happens.

What inactive means.

• While a Church is inactive, Members can no longer use the Service’s features, even though they can still sign in to their own account.

• While a Church is inactive, Members will see a message explaining that the Church is inactive.

• While a Church is inactive, Admins can still sign in to the website to export data, update billing, or reactivate.

• While a Church is inactive, Integrations and connected services stop working.

Reactivation. If the Church resubscribes within the retention period (Section 11), we will restore its account, Members, roles, and data as they were.

Members are not notified by the Church’s choice alone. We will make reasonable efforts to notify Members by push notification or email before access ends, but we cannot guarantee delivery.

10. Exporting data

Admins can request a copy of the Church’s data at any time while the Church is active and during the retention period after it becomes inactive. Admins can request an export by emailing team@digitalfaithworks.com, and we will provide it within 10 business days of verifying the request.

What’s included. The export includes the Church Content (announcements and other content, attached images and files), Members’ display names, roles, and join dates, and Church settings. It does not include any Personal Content. It includes Members’ email addresses.

What’s not included. It doesn’t include any person’s password, login credentials, or personal account settings, secret keys for integrations, or data belonging to other Churches.

Format and delivery. We provide the export as a ZIP file containing structured data files (such as CSV or JSON) and the original uploaded files. We send it to the verified Admin’s email address on file through a secure, expiring download link. The link expires after 72 hours and we then delete the file.

Verification. For security, we may need to verify that the requester is an authorized Admin before sending data.

11. Retention and deletion of data

Retention period. After a Church becomes inactive, we keep its data for 60 days so the Church can export it or reactivate.

Permanent deletion. At the end of the retention period we permanently delete the Church’s data from our active systems. Copies in backups are removed within 30 days after that as backups are overwritten.

After deletion, we can’t recover the data.

What we may keep. We may keep certain records longer when the law requires or allows it, such as invoices, payment records, and records needed to resolve disputes or show that Terms were accepted. These are kept only for as long as necessary.

12. What happens to Member accounts

When a Church is deleted or leaves the Service, Member accounts are not deleted automatically. They become unaffiliated, which means a Member can sign in and join a different Church if they choose.

Members can also leave a Church at any time. Leaving does not delete your account but it does delete your Personal Content and Child Profiles (Section 12A) and your Personal Content is no longer visible to the Church you left. An Admin who leaves keeps their account, and the Church Content they created stays in the Church but we remove their name and link it only to a “Deleted account” label, so it can no longer be connected to that person. You must leave your Church before you can delete your account (Section 13).

12A. Leaving or being removed from an Organization

Leaving. Members can leave their Church at any time in the app. Admins can also leave, as long as the Church still has another Admin. The last Admin must transfer ownership or cancel the Church first.

Removal by Admins. Admins can remove a Member from the Church. Removal deletes your information in the Church, as described below, but Admins cannot delete your account.

What happens when you leave or are removed:

• We delete all of your information in the Church: your Personal Content, your Child Profiles, and your children’s event registrations and check-in records. This happens whether you leave or an Admin removes you, and it can’t be undone.

• Your account (your login) is not deleted.

• Church Content stays with the Organization. If you were an Admin, the Organization Content you created stays, but it is anonymized: your name is removed and it is linked only to a “Deleted account” label, with nothing that connects it back to you.

• You lose access to the Church’s content and features.

• You become unaffiliated and can ask to join a different Church, or the same one again. An Admin must accept you.

Children. Your children’s profiles are deleted when you leave or are removed, so Admins can no longer see them, check them in or out, or register them for events. If you join an Organization again, you will need to add them again.

13. Deleting your account

Members and Admins can delete their account in the app or can request to have us delete it for them by contact us at team@digitalfaithworks.com.

To delete your account, you must first leave your Church. When you delete your account, we delete your personal account information and all of your Personal Content, completely, subject to Section 11. Church Content you created as an Admin stays with the Church, but it is anonymized: your name is removed and it is linked only to a “Deleted account” label, with nothing that connects it back to you.

If you are the only Admin of an active Church, you will need to transfer ownership or cancel the Church before you can leave it, and so before you can delete your account. To transfer ownership before deleting your account, please contact us directly at team@digitalfaithworks.com

14. Our property

We own the Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while you comply with them. We don’t own Church Data.

15. Third-party services

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, such as payment processors, hosting providers, and app stores. Those services have their own terms, and we’re not responsible for them.

16. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give Admins at least 60 days’ notice and a chance to export their data.

17. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access to an account or Church if it breaches these Terms, creates security or legal risk, or if payment is overdue. Where reasonable, we will give notice first and a chance to fix the problem. You may stop using the Service at any time.

18. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it other than those expressly stated in these Terms.

19. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability to a Church for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees the Church paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and ask you to review and accept the new version. Each version has an effective date, and earlier versions are archived. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

We record when each user accepted each version of these Terms.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Indiana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Indiana, USA, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

22. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we don’t enforce a right, that doesn’t mean we waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
